Hi, I'm Charlotte
I'm the owner of Hoof and Paw. I provide animal wellbeing services across the Wellington region – equine and canine bodywork, dog grooming and animal reiki.

I trained as an Equine Bodyworker with Equinology® in Australia (2017) and began providing equine bodywork to horses in Wellington, Ohariu Valley - servicing Wellington Indoor Riding School, Rushcroft, Greendowns Equestrian Centre and Greystone Equestrian Park - and Upper Hutt via Hutt Valley Equine Bodywork.
In 2023, I relocated to Masterton and extended my services to horses based in the Wairarapa. In July 2024, I rebranded my business to Hoof and Paw to reflect the services I’m now able to offer to dogs; massage therapy and dog grooming.
My equine clients range from retired paddock mates through to Grand Prix dressage horses. Recently I commenced training in Equine Osteopathy, which will allow me to offer a holistic approach to equine wellbeing therapies in 2025.
I found Animal Reiki when I was searching for therapies to help one of my dogs with stress and anxiety following a significant injury and found the techniques incredibly beneficial in calming anxious dogs and horses. I’m now a certified Animal Reiki Master and can incorporate this technique in all of my services if needed.

I then completed a course in canine bodywork, a natural extension to my equine services and I’m thrilled to be able to work with dogs now in a professional capacity. I’ve owned a variety of breeds of dogs for over 30 years and currently own a White Swiss Shepherd and a Parson Russell Terrier.
Recently I completed a formal training course in dog grooming with the NZ Pet Grooming Academy. Owning a very fluffy, double-coated dog, it was a natural progression to undertake a dog grooming course and be able to offer this as a wellbeing service too. I've also completed a Fear Free Groomer Certification Course and I'm a Fear Free Certified Professional.

I also offer facility hire: a 20 metre round pen and rehabilitation yards for horses.
I hold Public Liability Insurance with FMG.
